I've been using LMS since the early 2000's and in tech years, it's two days older than dirt. Found a UPnP plugin and the IFI Stream popped right up, streaming now from Qobuz through LMS. Will it be possible to access Qobuz via the IFI Stream web portal in the future? Being new, I've been trying to set the Stream to play for hours on end while I'm away at work to break it in, but for some reason, the Stream hasn't been playing when I arrive home. Using ethernet for the network connection, if only the Qobuz Mac app could see the Stream life would be fantastic.

A Mac based way of using Qobuz via network at full resolution would be great as the Stream is nowhere near my computer.

Using the iOS IFI app to update the firmware would not work, no matter the device, the download would freeze at 40%. An attractive device is also a welcome change. The loadalbum command clears the queue and adds the album specified there is also an addalbum command to append to the bottom of the queue without changing what is already there. What a pleasure, after two nightmarish experiences getting Rasp Pi streamers going in the past, to have the IFI Stream streaming music in less than five minutes.

The "playlist loadalbum" command puts songs matching the specified genre artist and album criteria on the playlist. The documentation for the CLI under “Playlist Commands and Queries” says playlist loadalbum

I’ve tried it, but it doesn’t work quite right. How can i replace media_content_id with the following. I hope it gives someone else a bit of a start on how to use the API with HA. This is just the tip of the iceberg, and may seem simplistic, but it wasn’t obvious to me at first how to even get started. 'spotify:playlist:48wQfF1DX9wR2KY45plZ' One entry extracted from the query attribute looks like this (this one is fake): - id: 29753 playlist: 'Spotify: My Great Playlist' extid: 'spotify:playlist:48wQfF1DX9wR2KY45plZ'Įxample automation that plays a Spotify playlist, whose big long id I got from the service call above: alias: SQ Play My Spotify Playlist You can see the info in the media player’s attribute query. This service call lists the first 20 playlists and shows the extid tag, which is needed for Spotify (or other external) playlists. I’m going to get some NFC tags to play with soon.Įxample automation that plays a local playlist called “My Local Playlist”: alias: SQ Play Local PlaylistĪutomation to pause the player (this acts like a toggle-if I pause the player, I can slide the cube another time to start it playing again): alias: SQ pause toggle I’m using my Magic Cube as a trigger in the following automations because it was an easy way to test what I was doing, but you can obviously use whatever you want. The documentation about the API that can be found at is a bit obtuse, but now that I have a start I can continue on from here.

Fun and highly recommended! I’ve been playing with how to integrate them into HA today, and figured out how to create some automations after a lot of trial and error, so I thought I’d share. I only recently discovered Squeezebox/Logitech Media Server, and have built a piCoreplayer/server with a Raspberry Pi (and have two PCs using Squeezelite-X for players).
